How Marketgent works

A short tour of the dashboard and the journey from sign-up to your first published post.

The five-minute setup

  1. Sign in. Use Google or GitHub. We never see your password.
  2. Tell us about your brand. Seven short steps: name, niche, audience, topics, timezone, approver email, optional YouTube CTA. The agent uses this to score every draft for relevance to who you are.
  3. Connect a social account. From Connections, pick a platform and complete the standard OAuth flow. We only request publishing scope; we cannot read your DMs or follow accounts on your behalf.
  4. Draft your first post. Open the Composer, pick a platform and a topic, and the agent writes a draft against your brand voice. Edit inline or hit regenerate.
  5. Approve to publish. Drafts that are partnership, launch, or campaign posts ask you to type the platform name to confirm — an extra friction step we keep on important content.

What each dashboard surface is for

  • Home — what’s up next, what needs you, this-week digest, and recent agent activity.
  • Composer — create a new draft from scratch, on any connected platform.
  • Library — everything the agent has ever drafted, scheduled, or published. Filter by platform, status, or time range.
  • Calendar — week view of upcoming scheduled posts and posting windows.
  • Insights — engagement metrics rolled up across platforms once posts go live.
  • Research — what the agent is reading right now to inform the next batch of drafts.
  • Connections — manage which social accounts are linked.
  • Settings — brand profile, approver contacts, billing.

Frequently asked

Will the agent post without my approval?
No. Every publish requires explicit human approval, with an extra typed-confirm gate on high-stakes content (partnerships, launches, campaigns). Standing approval rules — if you opt into them — only auto-approve drafts that pass every safety gate.
Which platforms do you support?
X, LinkedIn, YouTube (Shorts and long-form), Instagram (Feed and Reels), and Threads at launch. New platforms are added based on customer demand.
Can I see what the agent is going to post before it goes out?
Yes — every draft sits in the Needs-you queue until you approve it. Drafts that are scheduled show up on the Calendar with their full content visible. You can edit or reject any draft at any time before it publishes.
Where is my data stored?
In the United States. See our privacy policy for the full list of processors and the data we share with each.
What happens if I disconnect a social account?
The agent stops drafting for that platform immediately. Already-scheduled posts for that platform are paused, and you’ll see them in the Needs-you queue so you can reschedule, edit, or reject them.
Can I run multiple brands from one account?
Yes. Each brand has its own profile, voice, and connections. Switch between them from the brand picker in the top bar. You can add another brand from /app/setup.
How do I cancel?
From Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and the agent stops drafting at that point. Already-published content stays on the connected platforms; we don’t delete anything.
